RealCryptoCap — The Real Crypto Market Cap (No Stables, Wrapped, or Tokenized Assets)

The real crypto market is smaller than the broader crypto market. RealCryptoCap removes stablecoins, wrapped and staked receipts, tokenized stocks, bonds and commodities, and ranks the true top 500 native cryptocurrencies by market cap.

RealCryptoCap: market cap without the stablecoins.

Snapshot as of September 28, 2026 (crawlers see this text; the live terminal refreshes after load).

  • Real crypto market cap: about $2.43 trillion. This is the native-crypto total after stablecoins, wrapped assets, and tokenized finance products are removed.
  • Excluded non-crypto assets: about $348 billion that CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko still count as crypto. That pile includes Tether, USDC, wrapped BTC and staked ETH, tokenized treasuries, gold tokens, and other real-world asset wrappers.
  • Bitcoin (BTC): about $1.67 trillion market cap in the native ranking.
  • Ethereum (ETH): about $324 billion.
  • BNB, XRP, SOL round out the next native spots in the Top 500.

If the big trackers keep counting every on-chain wrapper as crypto, their leaderboards will eventually be topped by national currencies and FAANG stocks. RealCryptoCap answers a different question: what is the real crypto market cap, and what is real Bitcoin dominance?

Why the headline crypto market cap is inflated

Most trackers add every token on every chain. That counts USDT and USDC, which are dollar balances, plus wrapped and staked receipts that restate an asset already on the list, plus tokenized stocks, bonds, treasuries and gold. RealCryptoCap separates those categories and reports what is left: the real crypto market cap.
